Date: MONDAY, APRIL 20th 2026
Time: 10:00 AM
Location: THEATER OF THE ARTS
You’re invited to a screening of a powerful series from National Geographic, “Pole to Pole with Will Smith,” hosted by the Digital Media Program. The series follows Will Smith on a deeply personal journey of discovery as he travels across all seven continents. From Antarctica to the lush Amazon rainforest, from the Himalayas to the vast Kalahari Desert, Will ventures to the edges of the Earth in search of answers to life’s most enduring questions.
The series will be followed by a very special installment of Disney’s Storyteller’s Spotlight, which takes a behind-the-scenes look at the power of storytelling in Pole to Pole. Stephen Leach from Inclusive Content and Engagement will be in attendance afterward to discuss the series further. The screening will take place on April 20th at 10 AM in the Theater of the Arts at the University of the District of Columbia. It is free and open to the public.
You are invited to bring as many students as possible to enjoy this enriching cinematic experience. Please ensure that students arrive promptly at 9:30 a.m. to facilitate a smooth seating process. This will allow everyone enough time to settle in comfortably before the screening.
Please confirm the number of students attending by the end of the day on Friday, April 10th. This will enable us to make appropriate arrangements and accommodate all attendees, contributing to a successful event.
